Running shoes for bad knees?

I bought a pair of new balances about a year ago that I hate. Have zero absorption shock and I think it was after a sore knee. I run mostly in the top or bottom-side of my foot. Any good recommendation?

I can not really recommend a specific shoe for all feet are different. Go to a store running, remove the old shoes and say what hurts, how often race, and the type of terrain that are running on. Must be able to help you choose a pair of shoes that works for you. Adidas works for me. My knees hurt when my shoes need be replaced. They look good, but the depreciation is broken and my knees before I do!
